Phoenix Metalform, Burndy Cable Support Systems, Split Set Mining Systems

Established in 1981, Phoenix Metalform started operation as a metal processing centre, then moved into sheetmetal, rollforming and fabrication. Since then, we have progressed to more than one hundred and seventy (170) employees. We make a variety of components for other companies in all fields of manufacturing. Some of the areas we are in are – Mining, Agriculture, White goods, Constructions, Road works, Housing, Aeronautical, Shipbuilding, Electrical and Plumbing. Our ability to source metal at attractive prices, enable us to make components for others at the cost of their metal alone. We gained Quality Assurance in Western Australia to ISO 9002 during 1995 and currently hold certification to ISO9001:2008 standard to ensure that customer requirements are recognised and the controls needed to produce quality products and service are implemented and maintained. Phoenix Metalform is one of the few companies in this field that is owned and operated by Western Australians. We are committed to quality metal products and customer service and would appreciate your support. We trust you find these information sheets helpful and look forward to being of service.

Today we’re farewelling a true Phoenix Metal Group legend — Brian Roberts — after 27 years on the tools.

Brian’s the fabricator you call when the job is tricky, the tolerances are tight, and the deadline was yesterday. He’s kept standards sky-high without any fanfare. Just quiet excellence, day in, day out.

And yes… shorts.

Doesn’t matter if it’s a frosty Perth morning or the breeze is coming straight off the Antarctic — Brian turns up in shorts like it’s the middle of January. The rest of us are in puffers; he’s in work boots and knees out, getting it done. Absolute Aussie unit.

Brian, you’ll be massively missed around the workshop Thanks for setting the bar and living our “Be the Best” mantra every shift.

Turns out mine mesh does travel well. ✈️
This load is strapped, stacked, and heading offshore—proof that when you build for quality, the world wants in.
Every panel you see here has been through our no-shortcuts process: tight tolerances, consistent welds, batch traceability, and a team that politely refuses to “just send it.” Capability? We’ve got it—big volumes, on-time dispatch, and the kind of finish that makes warehouse lighting look like a studio shoot.
If your underground needs support that won’t quit, let’s talk. We make it here, we ship it anywhere—because safety and reliability shouldn’t be a postcode.

Brissy brekky sizzle for R U OK? Day 🔥🍳

We fired up the hotplate, flipped eggs sunnyside-up like a Queensland morning, most importantly proper yarns that went beyond the usual “How ya going?”

Huge shout-out to our hi-vis heroes who cooked, cleaned, and kept the banter sizzling. Good food + good crew = a top way to remind each other it’s OK to ask and it’s OK not to be OK.
